March was cold and crazy, so hopefully we’ll get our first taste of spring in April. We’re now in the stretch for summer, and it’s time to hunker down and hit the books! Get your last ski days in while you can, and get ready for the hiking to begin. Come join us at our events this month!

Maintenance Tips

Service Requests: Please make sure that you put in work orders for your apartment ASAP when you have identified a potential problem.

After-Hours Requests: If it is after hours, please call (775) 770-4887, and the on-call technician or Community Assistant will determine whether the work order is an emergency or not.

Reminders & Updates

Tell your friends about our open house! The whole Highlands staff will be in the front office on April 17 from 5–7 p.m. to give tours and answer any questions about leasing at The Highlands. Food will be provided, so don’t forget to stop by!

When you have packages sent to The Highlands through the mail, make sure you have your full name (first and last) with your apartment number in the attention box. This will ensure that you receive your package. If your package needs immediate attention, please make sure it is clearly stated on the outside of the box.

Friendly reminder: You must pick up after your pet! If you are not cleaning up after your pet, violations will be sent out! There are pet stations throughout the property that are fully stocked with bags to pick up after your furry friends.

Lock Down That Internship with the Right Tools

In the coming months, universities across the nation will be partnering with businesses to fill internships for the summer and fall semesters. Internships are a great way to fast-track your career and gain valuable experience in the field you’re interested in. Landing the perfect internship may not be the easiest journey, but if you’re equipped with the right tools, achieving that dream opportunity is within reach!

In a 2017 article, Forbes stated, “Resumes are the gateway into the interview, and into the job. The importance of a well-constructed resume cannot be overlooked.” When you’re applying for an internship with that dream company, having a killer resume will push you to the top of the list.

By choosing to live at a Campus Advantage community, you already have access to an arsenal of professional success tools. One that could be really useful is the resume critiquing tool in our Career Success Portal. To access the tool, just log on to!
