With the holiday season coming up, we have a lot of exciting events happening. We’ve had some amazing turnouts and hope to continue with that. If you have any suggestions for future events, lets us know! We also have renewal season upon us. Maintenance Tips

Service Requests: We would like to give our maintenance crew a huge shout-out as they work very hard to get service requests completed in a 48-hour time frame! We ask that you put in a service request once you identify an issue in your apartment. You can submit service requests on your online portal, over the phone, or in the office. Our Community Assistants will gladly help with any issues you may be having.

After-Hours Requests: If it is after hours, please call (775) 770-4887, and the on-call technician or Community Assistant will determine whether the work order is an emergency or not.

Reminders & Updates 

At this point, everyone should have their electricity bill set up for their apartments through NV Energy. If you have any additional questions, please give us a call in the office.

As a reminder, we would like to touch base on lockouts. If you lock yourself out of your apartment during office hours, we will happily let you in free of charge. However, if you get locked out after office hours, a $25 lockout fee will be charged to your account.

Rent is due on the 1st of every month. We do give you a grace period until the 4th. Rent is considered late on the 5th, which is when the late fee will be charged to your account. If you have any questions concerning rent, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We hope you’ve had a good start to the semester! Everyone should be settled in by now and ready to take on the school year. October will be packed with events and a special Resident Appreciation Week planned from October 2–6, so be sure to look at the events section in this newsletter.

Renewal rates and new lease rates are ready! Please stop by the front desk so we can answer any questions you have in regard to renewing your lease — we’re happy to help.

Did you know students who are involved outside of the classroom are more successful in their academic pursuits? If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to find opportunities to get involved on campus and in the local community. Your campus’ student activities office is a great place to start to find out about clubs, organizations, and campus events. You can also connect with our team to find ways to get connected. Whether it’s the chess club or intramural football, or volunteering at a local shelter, we would love to help you find ways to get involved both at your Campus Advantage community and on campus.

Community Events 

Join us for Resident Appreciation Week! We’ll have an event every day the first week of October!

Yappy Hour — October 5 from 5–6 p.m. — Stop by the front office with your furry friend in a costume and be entered in a contest to win a prize! We’ll have yapetizers, refreshments, treats, and much more!

Free Food Friday — October 6 @ 5 p.m. — Renew your lease and join us in the front office for free food — until the food runs out.

Office Open Late — October 19 and 26 — We’ll have our office open late the last two Thursdays of this month. Our extended hours will be until 9 p.m. You’ll be able to come in and ask any questions you have regarding renewing!
